Power is a right, not a privilege.

Our Vision.

We believe everyone should have access to electricity to keep their house warm and healthy.

In 2022, the Ministry of Business Innovation and Enterprise estimated that 110,000 households were unable to keep their homes adequately warm, which is around 300,000 people and 74,000 households struggled with damp and cold conditions.

Through our efforts, we aim to ensure that all whānau can access the power they need without sacrificing their wellbeing.

The Whānau Fund Trust was established by Nau Mai Rā Limited with a mission to support whānau who are struggling with their electricity bills.

Our Community Partners

We partner with local community organisations who support whānau to access resources for healthier homes, improve power literacy, and provide financial relief to subsidise electricity bills.
